I'm a photographer based in Minot, North Dakota, where I was born and raised. I’m grateful to call Minot home. I’m currently in my second year of college at SNHU, studying digital photography. When I’m not behind the camera, you can usually find me spending time with my family, traveling to discover new photo locations, or curled up watching movies with my dog, Brew

FAQ

Answers to your Questions

How far in advance should I book?

It’s best to book as early as possible, especially for weekends, busy seasons, senior sessions, family photos, and special events. For most sessions, booking at least 2–4 weeks in advance is recommended. If you have a specific date in mind, reaching out sooner is always best.

Where are sessions held?

Sessions can be held outdoors, at a meaningful location, around town, or at a spot that fits the look and feel you’re hoping for. I’m happy to help suggest locations based on the style you want, whether that’s open fields, downtown areas, parks, cozy lifestyle settings, or something more personal to you.

Do you travel?

Yes! Travel is available depending on the location and session type. Some travel may be included within a certain distance, while locations farther away may require a small travel fee. Just reach out with your location, and I’ll let you know what works.

What should we wear?

Wear something that feels like you, but photographs well. Soft neutrals, earthy tones, subtle patterns, and layered textures usually work beautifully. Try to avoid busy logos, neon colors, or outfits that feel uncomfortable. For family or couple sessions, coordinating colors looks better than perfectly matching. I’m always happy to help with outfit ideas before your session.

How do we book a session?

Booking is easy! You can view available session options and schedule directly through my booking page here: https://matayagracephotography.pixieset.com/booking

Once your session is booked, I’ll follow up with any details needed to help you feel prepared and ready for your photos.

How long until we receive photos?

Turnaround time can vary depending on the season and type of session, but most galleries are delivered within 2–4 weeks. Sneak peeks may be shared sooner when available.

What happens if the weather is bad?

If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll work together to reschedule or adjust the session plan. Cloudy skies can actually photograph beautifully, but heavy rain, unsafe conditions, or extreme wind may require a new date.

Do you offer prints or albums?

Yes, print options may be available through your online gallery or by request. Professional prints, albums, and other keepsakes are a great way to enjoy your photos beyond just the digital files.
